Individually serialised pairs of RAD-0 cups made from hand-poured resin enclose planar drivers of Rosson's own design. Each cup rim is a unique creation of art unto itself, as is RAD-0's sound.
Audiophile Style reckons it "bests all of its planar rivals and ranks among the top two or three best headphones available today", proving the point in a review complete with measurements. None of the expertise that established Alex Rosson at the forefront of this decade's planar magnetic headphones ascendency has been lost through time.
In fact, Rosson's audio engineering has taken a turn of sharper focus, honed after years of experimentation in tuning. RAD-0 is naturally transparent yet unetched, with a soundstage given room to breathe via 66mm planar film drivers under the iron grip of 11 N52 neodymium magnets.

A warm transparency envelopes and halos around with unforced ease with an approach many commentators have compared to Audeze's hallmark pre-fazored designs. Flexibility with all genres and partnering amplifiers is a given; a Rosson can never be made to sound bad . Audiophile Heaven say RAD-0 is "liquid, musical , smooth , grain-free". Ear Fidelity calls it "wildly recommended" as the "surprise of 2022".
Praise and recognition of one of Head-Fi's most prominent, important designers followed quickly. Headfonics put RAD-0 in their running of the top three headphones heard in 2019, praise only surpassed by Headfonia who crowned it their top headphone of the year and again in 2020.
