Final Audio E4000

$219 $229

Final Audio launched E4000 with no particular sound ranges emphasised. This, together with Final's commitment to detailed sound expression, results in realistic sound that sounds as if it were being played right in front of you.

Compared to E2000 and E3000, a purer, subtler sound was achieved in which tones were more naturally blended together with a believable sense of warmth.

there is a genre they excel at

After I figured out I had bass boosted on my phone for my regular listening pair from Koss, and after I took it down the Finals started sounding ALMOST tasteful.
You have to realise that these are very V-shaped meaning the bass and treble are boosted, and mids are recessed. It's perfectly normal and it's what a lot of people really enjoy, but I was more used to a flatter, mid-centric sound.
Then, I finally found the genre that sounds absolutely awesome in these IEMs: it's EDM. And also synthwave. Probably other contemporary electronic music too.
They really opened up, letting me hear and appreciate their technical capabilities, and now I have a playlist with tracks I can really only enjoy through them.
Get them if you love bass for they have the thump and the rumble. Otherwise it's just a really pleasant-sounding IEM.
I have to take away a star for the cable, though: it's really good at amplifying the sound of rubbing against my shirt. It's so bad, it overpowers the music at times.
The fit with silicone tips also wasn't great, but also my ears are weird and it's always been an issue. Get memory foam tips if you're like me.
