PW Audio Athena

An energetic and direct-sounding PW Audio offering that also injects a small bump in the bass, Athena owes its sound to its new copper construction.

Part of PW Audio's Vanquish series, Athena adopted the construction principles of the seven-section tube series, but now features a specially treated alloy.

Within the wire, seven cores are intricately twisted to enhance the speed of information transmission compared to straight wires, resulting in reduced signal loss.

Athena's conductors undergo deoxidisation and compression, compressing the core to a diameter of 0.9mm or less. PW Audio's compression significantly diminishes the crystalline cross-section, nearly eliminating it.
