iBasso Tonfa

The Ibasso armoury continues from the the Nunchaku to the Tonfa — This time utlising a 24-bit fully balanced discrete R2R DAC architecture to balance density, dynamics, and naturality.

A 60 high-precision resistors is built with FPGA software algorithms to pursue improvements in linearity and consistency. The Tonfa is not short of output power while staying analog. It delivers up to 800mW per channel @32 Ohms, effortlessly serving a wide range of headphones and harder-to-drive IEMs. Extra attention is paid to keep an efficient circuit design so top-tier power output can be delivered even when connected to devices with limited or low power. 

Audio tracks are fully optimised by a linear LT3042 ultra-low noise LDO, providing a pure and stable power environment for the 8channel R2R DAC.

The Tonfa is equipped with a 0.96-inch OLED display, and a custom encoder allowing for full-function settings, providing a more intuitive, efficient and enjoyable control experience.
