Damascus zirconium offers excellent resistance to wear and corrosion while oxidizing more slowly than common alternatives. Its acoustic properties also help suppress unwanted cavity resonance, reducing coloration and preserving a clean, finely resolved presentation.

Compared with conventional titanium alloy, four-color Damascus zirconium requires a significantly more involved production process. Multi-layer fusion, precision machining, meticulous finishing, and flame colouring all demand extensive craftsmanship, reflected in the character and finish of every completed shell.
