this is the first bluetooth codec dongle I’ve ever used. while it's not mind-blowing, it's actually significant enough for me to notice the differences.
mostly used for music and movies on ios. sound is slightly cleaner, slightly more detailed, slightly more depth. granted I was using with noble fokus rex5 most of the time, so everything was already really good even with aac codec. i've also used the dongle to pair with grado gw100x headphones and edifier w280nb pro. these were even better in sound with the dongle.
super tiny body for the dongle. dongle on phone fits in pocket with no differences in size or usage. only downside is u cant charge the phone while using the dongle. except for wirelessly charging.
one extra perk i didnt expect was that once my earbuds or headphones are paired to the dongle, i can attach the dongle to any other phones/ipads/devices and my earbuds or headphones can be used right away without needing to be repaired.
point to note is that in high traffic areas, i'm assuming bluetooth or connectivity interference, is that the dongle tends to cause music to stutter, especially so if there's no clear line of sight from the dongle to your earbuds (blocked by clothes or placed in your bag). changing to a lower codec like lc3 or other connection priority codecs prevents this stuttering. but i also don't get any stuttering without the dongle on my iphone on aac codec in these high interference areas.
pretty worth-it buy for me at the end of the day. it's mostly being used at home and work for me, but not on commutes due to stuttering on higher quality codec.
