    Quloos MUB5

    - Features a segmented R2R DAC architecture that achieves an ideal balance of both technical performance and musicality- By splitting the 24-bit digital signal into a high 5-bit section and a low 19-bit section for independent processing, zero-crossing distortion is eliminated and the dependency on resistor matching is greatly reduced- Pre-biasing each bit of the R2R circuit acts like a dynamic buffer for current changes, dramatically supressing conversion noise during the DAC process- Custom-written Oversampling (OS) filter results in a precise, wide and large sound whilst retaining the classic R2R body- Switch to the non-oversampling (NOS) mode for a more mid-forward, relaxing sound that still retains the expansive stage- With a battery life of approximately 7-8 hours, the MUB5 can also be battery-bypassed with a DC 12V input to unlock the full 2.5W output per channel power // SPECIFICATIONS- Inputs: USB Type-C, Coaxial, Optical, 3.5mm Line-in, Bluetooth (Input only)- Bluetooth Version: 5.0- Supported Codecs: LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, SBC- USB Input Sample Rate: Up to PCM 32Bit / 384kHz, DSD512- Opt/Coax Sample Rate: Up to PCM 24Bit/192Khz, DSD64- THD+N: 0.003%- SNR: 116dB- Dynamic Range: 112dB- Output Power (Battery Power): 1500mW @ 32 Ohms (BAL 4.4mm), 500mW @ 32 Ohms (SE 3.5mm)- Output Power (DC 12V): 2500mW @ 32 Ohms (BAL 4.4mm), 900mW @ 32 Ohms (SE 3.5mm)- Output Impedance: <1 Ohms (BAL 4.4mm), <2 Ohms (SE 3.5mm)- Battery Life: Approx 8 hours- Dimensions: Approx 138 x 80.5 x 23mm- Weight: Approx 360g // IN THE BOX- MUB5- Blue leather case- USB Type-C to Type-C interconnect

    DITA PreludeDITA Prelude

    DITA Prelude

The Prelude should have been the first entry model from DITA, but we sometimes only discover the essence of a beginning on hindsight.Going back to DITA's roots, a single dynamic driver that's well implemented enough draws a parallel to the original DITA Truth driver. This new rendition is a mildly V-shaped tuning that's reactive with crisp attacks but smoothened with a natural decay to showcase technical competence in engineering. In terms of build quality, this entry model is flaunting a three-piece machined aluminium shell that is at once ergonomic and reliable as a chassis. Its baffle design functions as a vent to control airflow allowing for better frequency separation, resulting in a wide staging that allows each instrument and vocal to have their own spacing and treble extensions to peak without aggression. The DITA Prelude comes with the ANTE, a DAC-Amp dongle optimised for the Prelude that sports Hi-Res capabilities. The ANTE is expected to work with all USB-C devices to provide a clean, noiseless source with minimal power draw on any attached device. // SPECIFICATIONS Driver: Single 10mm Dynamic Driver - Dual magnet and Polyurethane + Polyethylene dual composite Shell Material: 3-piece 6061 Aluminium, 5-axis CNC machined Connector: Flush 2-pin (0.78m) Cable: 1.2M in 2-pin (0.78mm) and 3.5mm ANTE Connector: USB Type-C ANTE Decoding Rate: Up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM // IN THE BOX Prelude earphones Cable (1.2M in 2-pin and 3.5mm) ANTE DAC-Amp dongle Clear gloss oblong-bore eartips (4 sizes) Frosted round-bore eartips (3 sizes) Semi-hard zipper carrying case Documentation

    Symphonium Giant

Giant is an IEM built for those who crave a sense of scale in their music—vast, immersive, and full of depth. Inspired by the icy expanse of Jotunheim, it creates an atmosphere that feels open and boundless, as if you’re standing alone on a frozen peak with nothing but the wind and sky around you. The wide soundstage and precise imaging place every note in its own space, making the experience feel like a trek through towering glaciers and endless snowfields. Deep, resonant bass grounds the sound like the weight of ice underfoot, while crisp, airy highs cut through like the sharp mountain air. 1. CORE+™ Chambering System Symphonium Audio completely reworked the tuning with Giant, eliminating the need for tubes. CORE+™ pushes sound into uncharted territory with a precision 3D-printed tubeless chamber featuring multiple horns, each carefully engineered to shape and guide the flow of sound. 2. Refined Shell Design Giant debuts with a refined shell, sculpted through extensive community feedback fromCrimson’s design. More compact and contoured, it ensures a secure, comfortable fit even for smaller ears, while an improved nozzle lip prevents eartip slippage—keeping your listening experience secure and uninterrupted. 3. Pressure Relief Giant features pressure relief through a custom external venting design, facilitated byCORE+™, an evolution of our chambering technology. Venting IEMs have always been challenging for manufacturers particularly due to the risk ofdirt and dust accumulation from suboptimal venting hole placement. The issue was addressed with a unique venting method - venting through the socket area, which is less prone to touch in daily use. This innovative approach minimizes potential dirt and dust build up over time while ensuring pressure relief and optimal performance of the dynamic driver inside. First 100 Units launch edition comes with Dark Matter 4W cable first seen in our Europa Collab with Elise Audio. Subsequent units will be Giant’s 2W Twisted Pair stock cable. All cables will feature interchangeable connectors with 3.5 and 4.4mm plugs.

    Melodic Artification Alter Ego

Open-back with a switch, but neither are features just for the sake of it. Alter Ego is Melodic Artification's big announcement that they're hitting the flagship IEM market with a point. A point to their implementations. A point to exist.  Twister6 quickly latched onto the hype. Switches like those on the tri-brid Alter Ego serve the listener, and not the spec sheet. Two different personalities present themselves in Melodic Artification's flagship when flicked.  One presents music accurately and resolutely, transient information all reproduced. Alter Ego's other setting immediately – and obviously – boosts sub and mid-bass as well as lower mids to grant warm immersion and an emotive presentation. Across both signatures, listeners are planted into a mid-range with a sweet, perfectly black background. Spatial detail is abundant but always natural. Distortion is evidently low; artifacts never get in the way of your listening. [See Product Desc. For More] Both switch positions engage a different crossover in Alter Ego entirely and present music in equally full quality and its total glory. No resonances or trapped backwaves from Alter Ego's dynamic driver are given the chance to build up given its open-back construction. In fact, Alter Ego's switch is another showcase of Melodic Artifaction's calibre. It's not easy to reproduce two different signatures with such quality in a single IEM, with a single set of drivers. The quality of its dynamic driver cannot be questioned, when asked to reproduce extra SPL with the flick of a switch. Alter Ego's bass unit responds without distortion, suggesting a perfectly damped diaphragm that allows it to climb in frequency and produce more pistonic motion. Its seamless transition between personalities of equal quality also suggests a design excellence in aspects rarely discussed – crossover design. Indeed, roll-off slopes and order of crossover are calibrated such that drivers, particularly Alter Ego's mid-range balanced armatures, are never pushed out of their comfort zone. The seamless driver transitions between frequency ranges suggests low-order crossovers that preserve phase response. Yet when asked to produce more SPL, Alter Ego never falters, able to take whatever you ask from it in stride. It's a degree of sweat and effort from Melodic Artifaction's design team so that Alter Ego never breaks sweat, sounding completely effortless. Indeed, it's a degree of mastery only matched by the extent of going on to machine its titanium shell. Alter Ego benefits yet from experiments with eartips and cables. Its forgiving detail is always an advantage for listening with more exacting sources, and music players like HiBy Music's R4 plus R8II, iBasso Audio's D16 and DX260 as well as Cayin Audio's N7 make perfect steeds. Stay tuned to welcome one of 2024's most exciting flagship IEMs today, highlighting the sheer variety the earphone segment is counting on as the key to its success today.

    Zähl HM1Zähl HM1

    Zähl HM1

When Zähl Elektronik-Tontechnik released HM1, few would have imagined it would go on to become the best solid-state reference headphone amplifier on the high-end market. Pre-orders now open for 2025's units – secure now to avoid disappointment! Inventor and founder Michael Zähl's professional sound engineer roots eventually led him to dream up a circuit that could drive whatever Head-Fi's most demanding flagships needed, with total transparency. Coloured yet correct, HM1 produces all the microdynamic zeal, transient zip and texture associated with the finest Class A designs. Yet it never borders on sterility, presenting music with as much entertainment as had been recorded onto the track. Hailing from the 1970s school of analog design, Michael Zähl's HM1 relies on cherished, historic linear technologies taken to today's max: Class A bias, no negative feedback and a huge linear power supply. It's difficult to imagine that HM1 was first conceived as a monitoring product for studio professional use, such is the success it's been received in high-end audio with. Production limited to 50 units a year – get in touch below to pre-order yours now and avoid disappointment. [See Product Desc. For More] Certainly, one could not have anticipated the impact HM1 has made on the high-end headphone amplifier market. Originally designed as a precision tool equipped with a range of front-panel controls, Zähl was initially conceptualised as an essential instrument for professionals whose livelihoods relied on precise auditory perception. Featuring controls like A/B input source comparison, crossfeed, mixing sources, EQ, and the option to incorporate optional negative feedback, HM1 adapts to diverse preferences and transducers. All adjustments are executed in the analog domain, utilising premium components that seamlessly integrate into the signal path. However, a toggle is provided to bypass these components, allowing your music to flow directly to your headphones as a veritable straight-wire-with-gain. Even when toggled, negative loop feedback enhances measured performance without detrimentally impacting audio quality. At HM1's simplest, most basic circuit level, Zähl takes a unique approach by not attempting to "fix" your headphones but rather syerngise seamlessly with them, flattering their best traits. Operating in Class A with high operating voltage and bias, the entire circuit of HM1 functions stably, free from feedback. HM1 relies on a full Class A bias and elevated operating voltages to ensure its transistors operate in the most linear regions. This fundamental characteristic starts with HM1 drawing power from its lifeblood – a linear power supply connected to the main enclosure through an umbilical cord. With the toroidal transformer already dissipating 40 watts of power even without signal playback, Zähl's oversized power supply is capable of meeting HM1's demands at a moment's notice during transient peaks or intense musical passages to fulfil its role as the lifeblood of the system. It's quite the feat running in the open loop doesn't stop HM1 from producing enormous frequency extension. Touching 500Khz at -3dB is certainly no mean feat without the aid of negative feedback. Its DC-coupled signal path without coupling capacitors reaches 1Hz – truly subterranean levels, for an amplifier of any sort. Indeed, this champion of frequency response achieves a flat 10Hz to 30Khz, paying off in perfect phase reproduction in the human hearing range for life-like dynamics, fast impactful bass, realistic portrayal of musical images and tremendous air. HM1 excels in stereo separation, leveraging a fully dual-mono configuration with distinct power supply transformer windings, rectification, and regulation for each channel. This meticulous design extends to HM1's signal path, ensuring no interaction between channels and delivering exceptional crosstalk performance. Driving the audio microscopes that are today's flagship headphones, Zähl's audio reproduction stands out for its remarkable transparency and naturalness. The signal's transparency, preserved by HM1, is fed to the finest Head-Fi equipment through large output devices with exemplary current-handling, taking advantage of its robust power supply. Zähl built a brute that functions as a near-perfect voltage source, given the way it almost doubles power output into halving impedances of 30ohms to 15ohm. Dan Clark Audio, HIFIMAN's Susvara and Abyss Headphones all bow before HM1. This isn't a question of using inordinate closed-loop gain to inflate specs, but rather, genuine, raw driving power. The realism of Zähl's performance through Rosson Audio Designs, Final Audio's D8000 Pro, HEDD Audio's HEDDPhone 2 and the ZMF Headphones Caldera is also haunting – especially when played back with Matrix Audio's Element X2 Pure as a source. Because HM1 isn't merely a product, but a moment in time – the cumulation of analog technology's feats, brought perfectly into a timeless package that will be the final solid-state headphone amplifier you will ever need. Get in touch to own a piece of audio heritage designed by Michael Zähl now.

    Canpur CP622B UIEM

Balanced armatures for bass, and bone conductors for mids, lead to Canpur's CP622B possibly ending 2023 as the year's most compelling flagship earphone for its refinement of tone, realism and accuracy. Twister6 knew Canpur were more than just flavour of the month when he heard them. This 10-driver tri-brid promises a lightness of touch and represents the finest of juggling acts that leads to arguably one of 2023's most complete propositions. The debut of Sonion's bone conduction drivers in balanced armature format size, that doesn't take up tons of space and require a lightning bolt to drive? Yes, please.  Indeed, implementing them to reproduce mids and highs has led to a deftness, sweetness and softness of transients that at once promises to be the Goldilocks of everyone's taste and tolerance. CP622B bursts onto the scene late but better than never, because Head-Fi has been waiting for a package that sounds so effortlessly life-like, from bottom to top. [See Product Desc. For More] By being unconventional in their custom driver selection from Sonion – an abundance of balanced armatures handling low-frequency reproduction for fast and accurate bass packing plenty of rumble and presence – Canpur head into 2024 with a true statement of intent. CP622B incorporates an original micro-inverter tube design within its cavity, a design enhancing the cohesion of low frequencies when compared to traditional ordinary air outlets. The debut of bone conduction drivers from Sonion for the mid and high frequencies then provide all the natural tone audiophiles could crave. The dual diaphragm of its co-directional vibration efficiently utiles the auricle and bone layer of the ear structure to transmit sound to the auditory nerve for a visceral portrayal of vocals and a 3D soundstage. CP622B finishes off with the latest generation of electrostatic tweeters for a sweet sprinkle of air and sparkle. Canpur can also build CP622B as a custom earphone which you can share the experience of around. View the rest of their range here, or our other IEMs here.

    Hiby R8II

When you've got the code, you've got the power. HiBy Music's proprietary DARWIN DSP and digital filter design has paid off in R8II – Head-Fi's groundbreaking, first totally original, discrete pulse-width modulated (PWM) music player. Sweet, with a black background and plenty of vocal density, R8II is one smooth customer. With DARWIN having gained prominence in the R2R RS6 and RS8 players as software specially written for hardware, the oversampling, noise-shaped PWM R8II eschews standard DAC chips and is an even further step as a pure HiBy digital creation. It goes right onto Headfonia's Recommended Buys list. Headfonics hail R8II's "vocal presence and midrange openness that might tick more boxes than the RS8". Twister6 praised "such rich selection of features and the flagship level of performance at a cheaper price in comparison to their RS8 TOTL flagship".  The Headphone List gives it the "highest possible recommendation". Indeed, HiBy loaded code aboard R8II's FPGA to run its PWM DAC with a new frequency and time domain accuracy. It gets the Soundnews Gold Award and even outscores its RS8 cousin, as this reviewer validly questioned if it's the best portable DAP ever. All these gains in decoding digital to analog translate to a newfound realism and accuracy in playing music back via the Android 12 R8II, which comes with HiBy's discrete Class A 4.4mm headphone amplifier capable of driving a new generation of low-impedance flagship earphones. [See Product Desc. For More] Instead of being a mere drive towards cost-effectiveness, the PWM R8II – dubbed DARWIN Multi-Phase Array (MPA) – unlocks a new era of sustainable portable performance in DAPs. This PWM prodigy sidesteps the impractical dependance on parts precision necessary in analog circuits and filters to perform. Rather, R8II shifts the hard work into the digital realm for frequency and time-domain results only possible with high-speed DSP. Its pulse-width modulation decoding of digital via individual capacitors and resistors is already a one-up on the standard delta-sigma modulation typically found in DAC chips.  HiBy's DARWIN MPA addresses the problems of conventional delta-sigma's inconsistent rise and fall edges at the frequency level, with adjustments made to facilitate more accurate, predictable switching on and off between 1s and 0s. This approach results in a reduction of errors by avoiding intersymbol interference. Notably, non-linearities arising from rise and fall mismatches do not manifest as total harmonic distortion. R8II's PWM decoding does not produce harmonic errors that vary with digital output levels. The brains of R8II are contained within its FPGA running a second generation of DARWIN digital filters. HiBy has cracked the formula for simultaneous time and frequency domain performance via its proprietary code. Certainly, digital can only claim to be high-performance if it oversamples heavily past the problems of Nyquist. And R8II is such a fruition of this ideal being developed entirely in-house at HiBy. DARWIN digital filters oversample incoming PCM data by 128x. These formats are put through a discrete MPA DAC running at an incredible speed of 6.144 Mhz. Shifting the Nyquist frequency exponentially beyond the range of human hearing enables the associated digital filter to function with a shallow profile. This allows for the effective blocking of aliased digital frequencies, while concurrently enhancing time-domain performance by minimising impulse ringing – a contrast to what a standard steep digital filter might induce. Importantly, this approach dramatically relaxes demands on the parts precision of any subsequent analog low-pass filter following R8II's DARWIN MPA DAC. Not that its discrete current-to-voltage I/V converter – made of individual transistors – has a problem dealing with any remaining distortion presenting itself as a DC offset that is easy to filter out. The dynamic element-matched, multi-bit output of R8II's DAC is precious. Indeed, HiBy's I/V stage has the high slew rates and instant step response necessary to keep up with the more linear phase of DARWIN MPA's shallow digital filters. Whatever entered R8II's DAC as digital comes out exactly the same in analog due to this I/V's low open-loop gain – with lower negative feedback necessary leading to its high speed, plus high slew rates and unity gain stability.  There's a reason R8II portrays elements within the soundstage with such solidity, despite aural image tangibility not normally being the strong suit of 2-7 bit delta-sigma or PWM designs. Indeed, the elements within the soundstage this HiBy generates are convincingly rendered because its small analog signal post-conversion is of the highest quality, and inherently stable without going into oscillation caused by too much I/V gain product. HiBy's decode goes through a four-channel analog volume control before reaching the Class A discrete output stage, preserving your music's true dynamic range resolution. R8II's power supply rails see operating voltages for its power section sit at a nominal 6 volts that Turbo Mode boosts to 7.5, assuring the open-loop linearity of discrete transistors. HiBy's discrete amplifier can be operated in Class AB or an optimal Class A, for sonic tweaking with your favourite earphones and headphones. Differentiating itself from even other flagships that cling to op-amp layouts seeking THX-certification but with inordinate amounts of gain and feedforward/feedback, R8II's linearity remains excellent already in the open-loop, owing to its high operating voltages and bias. Those ensure individual transistors are working in optimum condition. Distortion and noise are kept low, without resorting to the excessive use of negative feedback. HiBy designed a true-balanced differential amplifier to further improve R8II's linearity, and you can count on common-mode rejection at its best whenever you plug in via 4.4mm preserving its resolution. It's an output stage that's direct-coupled to improve low-frequency performance, and R8II audibly plumbs the lowest bass depths. With the extension down low, phase reproduction in the audible human hearing range for taut, hard-hitting and life-like dynamics is excellent. At the tip of R8II's power stage spear, 16 transistors ensure excellent current-handling for good reason, to reap the full benefit of HiBy's separately regulated power supplies for analog and digital sections.  The former is particularly massive and incorporates inductors that store huge energy in a magnetic field before releasing on demand to HiBy's Class A amplifier.  Superior even to super capacitors due to their low DC resistance, these inductors constitute a massive power supply for an output stage that can follow the impedances of the Empire Ears Raven, Odin, Legend Evo plus Vision Ears Elysium EXT down low. Simultaneously, R8II swings enough voltage to push Subtonic Audio's Storm and Symphonium Audio's Crimson, Sony's IER-Z1R as well as Focal's Utopia, Stellia and Clear MG Pro, with total aplomb. You'll want to exploit all of R8II's technical feats by getting as much of your music aboard. So HiBy built in the futuristic Snapdragon 665 SOC and 8GB of RAM to run Android 12 and Google Play Store perfectly. A 12,000mAh battery supplies up to 20 hours of use. Stream Hi-Res Lossless Tidal and Apple Music at full bit and sample rates with HiBy's Direct Transport Audio OS that bypasses detrimental Android sample-rate conversion. And an alcantara-covered backplate and stainless steel chassis means you'll always listen to R8II in style. It's style that absolutely comes with substance, containing a HiBy heirloom. A heirloom that cumulates as a symbol for how far they've come turning their code into truly groundbreaking products and musical nirvana. Symphonium Crimson

So hot, it's Crimson hot. Symphonium Audio's latest flagship earphone is also their greatest, distilling everything they've learned from Meteor to Helios into one gem of performance and fit. How Symphonium could cram all that detail and performance into something as pint-sized as Crimson is a wonder to behold. After all, parts are inexpensive, whereas labour, innovation, original R&D, resourcefulness in making the most of what's available, love and passion for engineering, aren't. By optimising the acoustic architecture around 4 balanced armature drivers – tweaking crossovers, bore lengths, and chassis layout – Crimson emerges as the Symphonium of our dreams. [See Product Desc. For More] Indeed, its flat mid-range to treble transition comes courtesy of greater pinna gain, exhibiting a frequency response you can trust, incredible detail, and hyper-realistic live dynamics. Best of all, Crimson's fit is a dream come true. As a successor, and immediate upgrade, to Helios, Crimson answers all of its predecessor's critics. A flat frequency response transition from 1Khz up to 4Khz enhances the perception of more accurate, present mids. Despite Symphonium's increased pinna compensation and the eschewing of a more diffuse, distant soundstage, Crimson suffers no shortage of spatial technicalities. It renders images with solid, tangible outlines on a vast and black background.  It's amazing how so much soundstage was crammed into such a small shell – the other improvement Symphonium are likely to be greeted with much cheer for. With a critical re-arrangement of components within Crimson's cavity not only for sonic gains through Phase Harmony Attenuation Technology (PHAT), but also wearability, the best-fitting Symphonium yet can be worn by virtually all ears. What's left is pure performance distilled from miniature high-grade T6 heat-treated AL6061 aluminium alloy shells, housing Symphonium's trademark flat impedance technology that ensures Crimson's performance remains consistent with inconsistent voltage sources. Still, it bears to juice the low impedances of Crimson well for best performance. To that end, Questyle Audio's CMA18P DAC/amp is a mainstay, while HiBy Music's partnership with Symphonium has been explored at length with any of the latter's discrete output stage music players. Sennheiser HD660S2Sennheiser HD660S2

    Sennheiser HD660S2

It's really all about that bass, and then some, with HD660S2. The latest in the legendary line of Sennheiser's HD6XX comes with the best bass response imparted in nearly 30 years of history. Soundnews quickly hailed HD660S2's reach down low. It's "a clear technical step up on the HD 660S" to Headfonics, made Headfonia's Recommended Buys list and gets a StereoNET Applause Award. The Ear says HD660S2 "delivers a richer and more refined listening experience".  Audiophile-Heaven "easily recommends HD660S2 to basically anyone". TechRadar thinks they're studio-grade. Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity echo they're uncoloured. Sennheiser's acoustic expertise is behind HD660S2's descent a half octave lower than its predecessor HD660S. With a response better than 60Hz at -3dB, HD660S2's bass improves both in quantity, and in quality. Deeper sub notes, once only hinted at and obscured by comparison to Sennheiser's famous mid and high frequencies, show up in force here. And a slower, shallower, roll-off means HD660S2's more accurate phase response leads to fast, precise, bass dynamics and slam – never slow nor wooly. [See Product Desc. For More] Sennheiser carefully experimented on driver backwave dampening in the magnet hole of HD660S2. By removing damping material that had been characteristic to HD600 and HD650's design – and bass shortfall – Sennheiser were able to lower the resonant frequency of HD660S2's driver from 110Hz to 70Hz. Cutting the air resistance as HD660S2's driver moved backwards out of phase allowed greater pistonic travel in a surround that could work more effectively producing the long, slow waveforms of low frequencies, without needing to be more compliant.  Sealing and optimising airflow around Sennheiser's famous Duofoil transducer also channels different frequencies more efficiently towards the ear and preserves a shallower dB/octave roll-off in HD660S2's bass – directly also responsible for its greater frequency and phase performance down low. By working for, not against, Sennheiser's customary 38mm dynamic driver that's able to climb in frequency without cone or modal break-up owing to its humble proportions, modernised cup acoustics allow HD660S2 greater pistonic excursion to produce bass waveforms. The maximum potential is milked of this driver. It convincingly pulls off the best low-frequency performance in a HD6XX headphone yet. HD660S2 is back to being a low-distortion affair too, with a return to a 300ohm voice coil kept thin and light – 10 per cent lighter than its predecessor. Inertia is low and Sennheiser's driver reacts instantly to the smallest voltage impulses. Indeed, it's a 300ohm load that's simultaneously easy to drive for any partnering amplifier, such that a tube amplifier mates comfortably with high damping factor and impedance matching.  HD660S2 comes terminated in balanced 4.4mm also meaning many modern bridge-tied load outputs on music players won't grind their gears pushing into inordinately low impedances, small power supplies and output stages producing less in the way of distortion and noise as a result. This Sennheiser will make for a happy result running from iBasso Audio's DC07 Pro and DX180. But even high output impedance, imperfect voltage sources from FiiO and Shanling will not be tested untowardly either – music players from the latter both having enough mettle to push HD660S2 very satisfactorily.  More bass, more ways to enjoy it make for more reasons to get acquainted with Sennheiser's latest child – and urgency to own it.
