Artpical Lunar Ring

The Lunar Ring combines metal and resin to express the texture and impression of the moon's surface. Artpical's design language finds free expression in form of their nature series which started with the Blue Planet.

The metal ring on the outside of the earphone cavity takes inspiration from the lunar eclipse phenomenon. It is not merely aesthetic— it utilises the stable properties of the alumnium oxide tube and is directly inserted into the rear cavity of the dynamic driver. 
This design functions to maintain ear pressure balance when worn, hence reducing the air pressure on the eardrums. This increases the comfort but at the same time increases the space of the dynamic driver's rear cavity, boosting the vibration amplitude of the diaphragm. The result is a more elastic low-frequency response creating a rumble that extends the dark, mysterious texture sonically, and visually.

Artpical wanted the effect of moonlight casting over the surface of obsidian to hold its place in the world of IEMs.
