Campfire Audio shocked Head-Fi with its Solaris launch in 2018, while Solaris 2020 crept up on us more subtly. The new, svelte version dressed in Ninja midnight black doesn't disguise its intention though: its sheer resolution can be heard on the darkest of nights.

Solaris 2020 packs an arsenal of a Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber (T.A.E.C.) and polarity-tuned bass chamber for its hybrid array of drivers to offer the hugest sound in the smallest of shells ... per cent less girth than its predecessor, to be precise.

The Headphone List writes Solaris 2020 "feels like a new earphone, removing all significant barriers holding critics back from the original", while Twister6 states the latest edition enjoys increased presence in the upper-mid region.

Darko.Audio was left rummaging through his audiophile vocabulary to describe what he was hearing. It's all reason to get into the Campfire 2020 spirit with Andromeda and ARA, or browse the rest of our IEMs here!

Campfire Solaris 2020

5 stars to the zepp team for the fuss-free delivery and communication.

On to the product -
The solaris 2020 is an engaging performer and sounds very much like if I had my bookshelf speakers in my ears. Powerful and balanced sound thanks to it's hybrid configuration and tuning. It's not a bass monster, but it has punchy enough and engaging bass that does not muddy up the sound, clear vocals and highs never felt lacking. Lastly, it is very easy to drive and sounds great on the supplied 3.5mm cable, I haven't felt the need to change the cable.
